Anyone who would select Lone Wolf and Cub as the catch-all representative of all of Kazuo Koike's seinen works is clearly part of the Vast Anti-Seinen Conspiracy. Fortunately, television personalities and living gods were brought in to give Offered, Wounded Man, and The Starving Man the highest possible star ratings that could be conferred unto them within the guidebook. The haters, as they say, had best vacate.

Science will soon prove that the ideal Carl Horn pin would be one derived from this photograph taken as a result of ninja consultation in the ATL:

The AWA AWO panel that AWO didn't actually host

Speaking of AWO's AWA episode... as they say in the episode Daryl links to, AWO had to bail on their own panel at AWA, and left the Ninja Consultants to handle it. Seems like a lot of the audience were also podcasters, including Otaku Generation (who don't like the NCs, according to Daryl?), me, some guy who hung out at the front of the room as a pseudo-panelist, etc. Anyways, Erin put a mic on the speaker for this panel... what are the odds that picked up any decent audio? Now that I know you guys use Macs (yay), I'll bring my iMic (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic) next year if that'll help grab decent audio from the mixer.

Oh, I recorded the panel too. It'll be our next show. Probably.

"That Guy" was from The Greatest Movie Ever podcast. I haven't listened to OG's show where they may have been annoyed with us yet.

Are we talking about the same "that guy"? I mean the one from the audience who answered your "anyone else here got a podcast" question, and ended up standing behind you guys the rest of the time.

There was a time in my life, shortly after I read his translation of some of Keiko Nishi's manga (which remain desperately underappreciated, incidentally) when I basically wanted to be Matt Thorn.

Wait... that's actually still the case.

When I was a child, I was unable to watch the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon due to being terribly afraid of the villain and his horse. In retrospect, this was ultimately to my benefit, as I did not spend approximately $30-$55 on the DVD set. That money will no doubt be spent once the powers that be release Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future on DVD, but only if the planes are also reissued for purchase.

If you must know, the reason AWO takes so long to edit is because Jason Thompson in this recording sounds exactly like how every member of the AWO sounds prior to editing. That The Stiff is not more like Welcome to the NHK! or (my current favorite) Ressentiment is testament to his fortune, considering the content of Patrick Macias' article on him from Figure Oh where he spoke ill of Bomber Girl, which was incredibly awesome until it turned into porno in the later volumes according to J-List:

When I was a child, I was unable to watch the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon on account of it was Satanic.

The Four Types of Manga??

Aren't there more than four? BL, TL, Bara, 1-koma, Biographic, Travel Diary, Ero, children's...

I forget, did Jason say this or are you misleading the readers again?

Hmmm, but its in your entry...

Terminology for this show: The Four Types of Manga; Shonen, Shojo, Josei, and Seinen

...and Jason had 5 types. Bah, either way I need to stock up on military manga. Got to hit Manga no Mori one last time before all their BM stores close.

I was going to push this off on Noah, and say that he wrote the show notes, but it's not true, I just left him to look up links.

This isn't really an entry meant to be read separate from the audio... the links are meant for an audience who might not already be familiar with the most basic of terms.

That, or else I get assigned to read some manga series as punishment for my sloppy show notes!
